Whether they’re known for their insane speed, incredible looks or something entirely different, cars have always been a large part of movies and some have stood out more than others. Here is a list of our 30 favorite movie cars ranked in no particular order. This is part one so make sure you head on over to part two and three afterwards.

We had to start this list with what is arguably the most popular movie car: The 1967 Shelby GT500 dubbed Eleanor which appeared in Gone in 60 Seconds. After stealing several dozen cars and escaping the cops, Memphis, played by Nicholas Cage, throws Eleanor at a lowered towtruck flat at full speed and clears a traffic jam, launching over 30 feet in the air. It’s ridiculous and insane, but that’s why we love it. That and the fact that the 428 cubic-inch V8 in the Shelby makes 360 hp and screams all the way to redline.
