The second part continues the countdown of the most recognizable movie cars of all time, and we pick up the action right where we left off.
A symbol of the entire British automotive industry, the original Mini is highly regarded as one of the best cars ever made in every car circle. They were the original small cars, unlike the modern Minis of today. Cheap, practical and compact, they embodied everything the car should have been. They were also incredibly fun to drive. The short wheelbase and nippy engines made them extremely agile in every situation, and they often punched two to three classes above their weight. A factory-backed Mini entered the World Rally Championship and managed to win several rallies, including the prestigious Monte Carlo. It’s easy why they chose to use them in the Italian Job. Compact and nimble, they were perfect for subway whips and tight alleyways.
